Bought this catchers mitt (s1-2 32") for my 13 year old. He is 5' 6", 165 lbs and has been a catcher for 3 years spring and fall ball. This mitt is absolutely perfect for him. I conditioned it and he worked it for a few days wearing it around the house. After about a week it is game ready. This isnt his first nokona glove so i knew the quality and craftsmanship would be excellent and this mitt did not disappoint. Dont hesitate to buy this mitt.

Bought this for my 9U son. He’s been playing catcher for 2 years and his current mitt is getting pretty worn. I love the brand and invested in this one. It’s amazing! Took only about a week to break in for a 9U hand in mine it's game ready. He used it in 3 tournaments so far and hasn’t dropped a ball. Get it for your kid if they’re serious about the position.

Purchased this for my 9U son. He's committed to the role and his $70 mitt is getting pretty worn. Wanted to invest in his next few years, and went with this one. So far, he loves it! I ordered it "broken in," but honestly, still needed some beating and receiving for his 9 year old hand to keep it open, but broke in after about 5 days and a bunch of catch. Definitely an improvement over the cheaper one and the size is perfect till he's a teenager. Can't wait for his brothers to use it when they're of age!

I bought this catcher’s mitt for my 9 yr old son who has one seasons experience as a catcher. My intentions were to get it broke in by the following season but It felt almost 100% broken in day 1 for an adult and by the 3rd day of catch he was able to close the glove completely. It is a little large to be used by a smaller 10U player but again, I wanted him to be able to have a larger glove for future seasons not realizing it would break in so quickly. The padding and feel is 3-4x better than the regular big box store gloves. Only complaint so far is that the laces seem to come untied very easily, even after tying a double knot. Considering upgrading my big box store glove for a Nokona. Love that it’s made in USA! Definitely worth the higher price.
