Winning Answer

If I could draft any player to be on my team, I would have to pick Miguel Cabrera. I would choose him because he is one of the best hitters in MLB history, with 511 home runs and 3,168 hits in his career. I would also choose him because he is one of the few players that just has fun with the game of baseball. You can see him messing around with other players and teammates, and joking around in the dugout. I would also pick him because he has lasted a very long time in the MLB. He has been in MLB since 2003, so he has been playing for 20 years. I would also pick him because him and I are both first basemen so I could learn a lot of from him defensively. I would persuade him to join the team by offering him an 80-dollar bottle of wine just like the A’s, as well as a donation to his charity and free food from the concession stand as long as he is on the team.
