Winning Answer

I am entering this glove for my husband as a surprise! This is his Dad’s glove that he used for most of his life. He coached his son until he was in high school. They had the best bond and were truly best friends – baseball is such an easy sport to bond over.

Unfortunately, Cory’s Dad passed away in 2016 from heart failure. The adjustment to our lives has been difficult as you can imagine, but there are certain things we hold close to our heart, and his glove is one of those things.

We recently started playing catch in the yard. He let me use his glove, which brought tears to my eyes because I didn’t think he would let anyone use it. We always make sure to put it right back in its place in our house.

There are so many memories and so much loved wrapped up in this glove that my husband will cherish forever, and pass along to our (one day) son. The roots of baseball run deep within our families.

If we win this glove, it will be tremendously taken care of, so that one day it can be passed down to our son’s son, and will carry on the same story.
