Winning Answer

In the photo you will find the vision board that I created for the glove contest! At home plate you will notice a photo of the glove that I really want! Each base has my goals written and how I will accomplish them. The pitcher’s mound is about the importance of having a mission. If you have no Mission, then you have nothing to work toward. My vision board is titled Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes. That term was made real for me by Coach Nate Trosky at a camp and made me realize that you must make changes in order for good things to happen. My board has lots of phrases and words that I use to maintain focus of my goals and let go of negative thoughts. Allowing me to focus on my mission in a positive way.

Here are my goals base by base and how I WILL accomplish them this year.

1st Base- On the field Goals:
Be a Warrior of God Psalm 16:8
1. Dance at the Ball- Jump Rope every day, Yoga, Stretch, Posture-Out of posture =out of position, touch a baseball everyday
2. 1 second bounce back (Get out of my head when something does not go as I wanted)- Simple phrases ex. Moving on, So What, Next Pitch. Shakeouts, breathing
3. Not to take off Pitches- Present and Focused, on time, every time, EVERY PITCH
4. Do not give up control- Do not care about others’ opinions of me. Once I give someone power to tell me I am worthy or great I lose control
5. Give myself Grace- Mistakes will happen, move past them, my story does NOT end today or because of what just happened, Doubt is my enemy, I can NOT control everything.
6. Improve my swing mechanics- Focus on small details of my swing, hit off the tee, Drills every day.

2nd Base-Goals as a Teammate :
As Iron Sharpens Iron, one person Sharpens another. Proverbs 27:17
1. Be Self-Aware- How I am perceived is important
2. Always Know my Role- At ALL time, During Warm up, in the field, at bat, on the bench, at practice.
3. Pray for my Teammates
4. Communicate- Listen actively and respond appropriately
5. Build Trust- Work Closely, be where I am supposed to be when I am supposed to there.
6. Be an Encourager- Build up my teammates
7. Know when to Lead and when to Wait- Be aware and alert, stay in tune with body language, use emotional intelligence to decipher the needs of those around me

3nd Base-Off The Field: This is the goal that honestly needs more attention than I have given it recently. This contest was a little bit of a wake-up call about this area of my life. I am happy to say since completing my goal list I have made remarkable progress in this area according to my parents!
Children obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right, honor your father and mother. Ephesians 6:12
1.Get along better with my sister
2.Be more helpful with chores at home
3.Focus better on my schoolwork without being prompted.
4. Spend more time reading my bible and praying
5. Focus on my Nutrition and Drink Water
6. Act with Intention in everything I do.
7. Exercise and Gym time with intent.

2025 is my year to Focus on the small things that will make big impacts when they are combined. A few of my favorite phrases that are found on my vision board are Armor Up, Cast out Fear and The WILL moves Mountains.
My body follows my Mindset, and I have set my mind for success. My Mission today is clear and it is winning that glove!
